Hi, In our project we are currently using LDAP as the protocol and MS Active Directory for authentication. We are using QlikView version 12.0. We are going to upgrade our current Active Directory to Microsoft Active directory 2016 in QlikView server soon. Does the QlikView version 12.0 support Microsoft Active directory 2016? Does this upgrade need any QlikView version upgrade?
Can you provide us your complete Qlikview build number so we can check the release notes for that version? If you're running Qlikview 12.0, it should be something like 12.0.201 or 12.0.202, etc.
Thanks,
Josh

Hi Josh,
Thanks for your reply. here is the build number:12.0.20400.0
Thanks,

Karthick, I found the following link:
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/12.0/Content/System-requirements.htm
Version 12.00 is unsupported at this point, just FYI, and the above shows NO support for Server 2016 OS, so therefore I would extrapolate that to mean support for AD based upon 2016 Functional level could be problematic, so in this case I would recommend you update to a newer/supported version. Here are the current supported versions:
12.10.20900 SR11 (November 2019)
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/12.1/Content/Whats_New_in_QlikView.htm
12.20.21000 SR9 (November 2020)
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/November2017/Content/Whats_New_in_QlikView.htm
12.30.20300 SR3 (November 2021 I believe, not positive on date on this one)
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/November2018/Content/QV_HelpSites/Whats_New_in_QlikView.htm
12.40.20100 SR1 (Should be November 2021, same as above, not sure on date...)
https://help.qlik.com/en-US/qlikview/April2019/Content/QV_HelpSites/Whats_New_in_QlikView.htm
The support on the releases is two years from the release of the following major release just so you have that, but the last two releases above may not exactly follow that. Hopefully this makes a little sense, shout if you have further questions. The 12.50 release is scheduled, subject to change, for November 2019, but I would not recommend jumping to an initial release, so that likely leaves you with 12.30/12.40 as the two best options, although the 12.20 release is likely the closest to what you have, there were some pretty significant changes in 12.30... I posted the What's New links for you....
Hopefully this gets you on the right track.
Regards,
Brett
Thanks Brett. It helps a lot to me.
