Use the load balancer to stop two specific tasks from running on the same server

Hi,

We use QlikView version 12.5 sr3 to run multiple tasks via the QMC overnight. We have multiple QVS set up to run these tasks.

These tasks are of varying sizes and complexities and at the moment 2 of them are taking quite a bit longer than the others to complete and are particularly resource intensive. 

When these two tasks run on the same Server they both take an hour longer than normal to complete.

I was wondering if there's any way to set the load balancer so that it will prevent these two tasks from running on the same server?

Hi @CharlieWith,

You're referring to data reload tasks correct?  Do you have Publisher and at least a two QDS node cluster?  If yes then you can employ QlikView Publisher Groups and pin each reload task to a specific QV Pub group.  See online Help entry What is a QDS Publisher Group? for more details.
