What setting in which xml?

HI ,

Is there any doc which says this setting in server will be stored in this xml.

SO that I can plan my back ups and other stuffs.

Also I have been put in to a scenario where in I had to delete a mounted folder which made my server down , So before bringing the server up which file I had to go and delete the lines of this mounted folder.Jagan Mohan Ashfaq Mohammed

I don't know why you want to emend your source file, when it can be done QEMC.

Any how you will find the entry in this file.

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR\SourceDocumentFolderResource.bak

Make sure to take proper backups first.

Hope it answer your question, make sure to close thread.

Hi,

Can you explain a bit more what are we trying to do here.

Deleting mounted folder will not made your server down, I guess its something else.

You can create an empty folder with same name.

For mounted folder to remove you don't need to delete any particular code.

Hi ,

Actually yesterday I tried to add a mount folder which is a shared drive in my company.

After that there is heavy slowness. So I am not able to delete that mounted folder or blank it.

So I am just looking for a setting file where this new mounted folder is present , so find and edit that setting and delet the entry, and restart the server.

Hi,

This is known issue, If you place mounted folder or any folder you host application on shared drive, the performance will be down.

Its recommended to host your content on local machine.

Have a look at attached image to delete mounted folder.

If that doesn't work I suggest you to try be restarting QlikView services.

Let me know if that worked.

Mate thanks a lot once again. I have done that but since the server is very slow it goes on and on.

But what my question, is there any setting.ini file where I can delete this entry and restart the server??

So instead of doing it in UI do it from the backend by editing the file from which settings are pulled off.. Hope you got me ..
