Windows autenthication problem

Hi,

I have 2 servers with qlikview (1 small business and 1 extranet).

We use windows users for the login.

Last week we started having problems with the autethication to qlikview from either the web and dekstop app.

We look up if it was a problem of our network, but ther wasn't any changes in the firewall and others policies.

Any ideas?

This is the error i can see in the windows event log.

Of course it changes depending on the server and the user.

Thanks

Gaston

Hi,

We are on QV 11 SR1 but we still see these errors. According to the thread http://community.qlik.com/thread/22528 these error should not occur after QV 10. Is anyone else seeing these errors in the events log of QV 11 SR1.

Thanks

Mohan

Would suggest to check he Log of the Directory Service Connector (Default C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DirectoryServiceConnector\Log).

Does all users have this issue at specific times or just some users all the time?

Same issue having 11.20 SR4,

The Eventlog Shows 2 issues:

Several times this appears:

300 Error    Server: An exception (T) occured during open of Mexico/DBSNew.qvw.

500 Warning    Document Load: The document C:\QLIKTECH\DOCUMENTS\DBSMEX\DBSNew.qvw failed to load because of no access [15]

and after then:

700 Information    Name translation: Trying to translate SIMEXCO2\qvadmin (qvadmin@SIMEXCO2)

500 Warning        Windows System Info: Failed to translate name SIMEXCO2\qvadmin (qvadmin@SIMEXCO2) - "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted.

till the QVS takes all the RAM memory and the access Stops.

Anybody is havingthe same issue?

On the forst error it could be caused by section access or the user doesn't have rights to the document. If there isn't section access on the document double check to make sure that the option isn't check in the Document properties.

On the second error, do you have a Directory connector setup for the domain or a local connector for SMWXCO2 .

Hi Bill

I checked and certainly the first error was due section access lo-gin, but for the second error we have local connector only not AD, we uninstall and reinstall QVS because in the event viewer there is an error "Maybe installation corrupted...." so we are monitoring and today i will check either the issue isn't there anymore or persists.
