with my IE and chrome, I've got a XML back with a message on the top saying
"This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below.
You get this message whenever you try to configure one QMC to connect to another using Remote Management Services?

You're not trying to open the link that is supplied on the Summary tab, are you? If so, you'll get an xml page all right. It should display the configuraiton of the remote server though...
