internet explorer access point

Hi All,

I tried to access a .qvw file on the server by using this url in IE from client..

     qvp://<server>/<reportname>

But, all that IE shows is 'Error on Page'  on bottom left handside corner.

I tried restarting all qlikview related services on the server, but this did not help.

When I give the same url from Desktop client via File ->Open in Server, it works fine.

What can I do to solve this issue?

Kindly suggest ideas.

Thanks in advance.

Hi All,

I was able to solve it. I made all the Windows qlikview services as service account instead of Local account

and then , restarted the services.

This works when url is of format  http://<server>/qlikview/index.htm

Anju

The acess pont ca help you to overcome this issue. If you are in philppines anda globe and tm ser, you can use the tm sim apn settings. Then TM SIM apn settings can solve your issue.

The access point can help you resolve this issue. If you're in the Philippines using a Globe or TM SIM, try updating your Dito SIM APN settings. Proper APN configuration can often fix connectivity problems.

Hi Anju, I’ve run into the same issue before, and from my experience, Internet Explorer doesn’t support opening QlikView documents directly with the `qvp://` protocol. That type of link is meant for the QlikView desktop client, which is why it works fine there but not in IE. To access the file through a browser, you’ll need to use the QlikView AccessPoint web portal with an `http://` or `https://` link instead, since that handles the proper verification and session management. Once you log in through AccessPoint, you should be able to open the report without errors.
