qlikview oplock request denied.

An error occurred in the Windows event log, but I don't know what caused it.

Error: qlikview oplock request denied.
StdServer: void CStdServer::DoMsgReceived (CQvMsgActiveProtocol*, CConstQvMsg): pContext->AuthenticatedUser.IsEmpty () && ServerSettings::AuthenticationLevel == 2, will throw EQ_LOCERR_FILE_CORRUPT

Can you tell me why this happens or what could be the cause?
Please reply if possible.

thank you

Hi @qwebnm,

This error is typically associated with the failed authentication of an end user. Refer to Qlik Knowledgebase article Error StdServer: void.  CStdServer::DoMsgReceived. Note that QlikView doesn't perform authentication, so it is important to understand that the root cause of the issue is with the system carrying out authentication and therefore the Windows server or Active Directory log files need to be reviewed. Assistance from the local network and security administrator may be necessary.

Hi @qwebnm,

I don't think this error would stop the QVS just by itself as it just means that an end user wasn't authenticated.

@qwebnm   In the QlikView context, the authentication of a user is almost always done against an external entity that is then used to pass the externally authenticated user identity to QlikView Server.

Here is an overview of how Authencation works in Qlikview;

Thank you for your response! I have an additional question.

Could this issue potentially cause the QlikView service to stop?

If possible, I would appreciate your answer.

Thank you!
