"Login failed" with IE home user

Hello,

One of our users was trying to login to Qlikview from her PC at home and whenever she tries to login with her credentials at the login page she gets the generic "Login failed" error.  When she tries from her company laptop it works fine.  Are there any IE settings that may cause this?  This is over an SSL line and not over VPN.  I'm sure it could be may other factors playing a role since it's her home PC.  She doesn't have any issue getting to the login page and entering her id and password though.

We are running Qlikview 10 SR3.  She is running Widows Vista with IE 7 I believe.

Thank you.

Ask her to type DOMAIN name with the user in the USER ID field

--> DOMAIN\ADUSER

That worked for the user.  Wierd that it worked for most people without the domain prefix but I guess I'll just update my instructions to have everyone add that instead.

It's because when you are on Company network and company PC/Laptop, youe PC/Laptop is member of Company domain and Active Directory, so it knows your domain already. At home your PC is not a member of Company domain, thus it cannot pass it as default and needs to be specified in the userid.
