A P&L Trending chart based on selection

I am trying to create a trending Profit and Loss statement, but had a question about about data being displayed based on selection. I loaded all the data for our fiscal year.  However, when I select Dec, I only want data for Nov&Dec to be displayed and not the rest of the year.  How could I accomplish this in the expression?
