i connected to my DB on SQL Server and couldn't see my tables when used: Ctrl+T.
I might did somethong wrong but don't know what..
here are the steps i took:
1. opened a new qv document.
2. Ctrl+E
3. Changed "Database" to: OLE DB
4. pressed "Connect"
5. and then put my local server name (its on my computer) as wall as the server DB
6. this raw appears:
OLEDB CONNECT TO [Provider=SQLOLEDB.1;Integrated Security=SSPI;Persist Security Info=False;Initial Catalog=master;Data Source=YAEL-PC\SQLEXPRESS;Use Procedure for Prepare=1;Auto Translate=True;Packet Size=4096;Workstation ID=YAEL-PC;Use Encryption for Data=False;Tag with column collation when possible=False];
now when i click on "SELECT"
i see all the tables. but when i use ctrl+t i don't see anything.
What am i missing?
Thanks.
PS
When i tried to reload after "SELECT"-ing a table i got this: (See attached file)
Two things:
You said OLE DB but script shows it as ODBC. You need to check this first.
Did you try testing the connection from the data sources in your control panel?

Kiran.

You can edit your ODBC data sources from control panel->administrative toos->data sources. On the final window you can test your connection as in the image:
