I've been using (as I think many do) an ARGB() funcion in the expression background colour of a pivot table to adjust the colours of cells based on their, or another column's, values by using the 'A' part to affect the transparency.
Having deployed this to the server and looked at it through the Ajax client it seems to just give the RGB value (and ignores the transparency...).
