Above function in an expression

If I have 2 columns in my straight table, SURG_TIME_STOP and Above(SURG_TIME_STOP) the Above function works fine. But if I add another column it doesn't.  Why would that be?  I'm attaching screenshots of my properties.

Thanks so much for your input.

I don't know how to do that without including the confidential data source?

I think it might have to do with the data table relationships. If I add procedure date instead of surg_time_start, the output looks correct now.    Is it possible to add expressions for subtotals in a straight table?  To only print on a break of say a date ?

   Thanks so much.
