Where are you trying to search for users? In the Document CALs->Users overview of this particular document?

Did you search with wildcards?

I have already assigned  one user under Document Cal , 8 days back , that user still does exist , and now when i try to search under  Document Cal ( Manage User ) i  type Miller *, *Miller* and also i tried * miller  and then click on the search icon , but nothing is happening

Sorry if I don't fully get this, but are you trying find a DOC CAL that's assigned to yourself?

NUM = named user cal, so if you have one of these assigned to you, then you won't have a DOC CAL against your user details as you don't need one

did you press "magnifier" after typing *miller*?

Reading between the lines I would say: define a correct DSC (probably Active Directory) so that you can search a directory for existing users like your existing user *miller* if that is what he is logging on with.

You can check that this is your problem if in a Manage Users dialog there is nothing else to select in the "Default Scope" listbox except the default value "All Directories".
