Access point - Slow response - Qlik Community

Hi:

I have successfully deployed my qvw file on web.

Then, while I am trying to browse using access point it is responding very slowly. Sometimes it is giving "Lost connection to server" message and stops working.

Please note, I have created 4747 port on the server.

Can you please advise?

.net framework 4.0 or later version installed on ur server?

Couple of things to check. Start with the application, if you open it in developer is it also slow? If so you may want to re-work it a bit as the user experience will not be great. If it isn't slow, and only behaves like that on the server you should check the following:

Are the disconnections a webserver timeout (default 60 seconds).
Is the network slow (try open the client in a browser on the server and check responsiveness)
Check the QlikView server log files, see if the disconnection is associated with a server restart (which would be bad) and also check the session log files. What is recorded as the exit reason for your sessions?
Check your timeout settings on the Server Management Console, QlikView Servers and Performance tab. These will show your timeout values for Maximum Inactive Session and Possible Session timeout and so on.

Failing that you should raise a support ticket.

this is happen after new installation/update? or ur using the same AP from long time and ur seeing this slowness issue first time?

Please note,

1. if you open it in developer is it also slow? - No, it's fast when opened in developer.

2. Are the disconnections a webserver timeout (default 60 seconds) - No. We have tried to still idle for more than 5 minutes and it didn't give this error message.

3. Is the network slow (try open the client in a browser on the server and check responsiveness) - In server the performance is good when opened using IE.

4. Check the QlikView server log files, see if the disconnection is associated with a server restart - Sorry, couldn't find the log file you are mentioning. There are 4 log files (a. Events_CDTSWEB254ZP.log, b. Exit.log, c. Performance_CDTSWEB254ZP.log and d. Sessions_CDTSWEB254ZP.log).

5. also check the session log files. What is recorded as the exit reason for your sessions? - The reasons are:

a. Session expired after idle time 2015-06-12 08:24:44 00:30:09

b. Killed because Named User Cal was needed from another client

c. Socket closed by client

6. Check your timeout settings on the Server Management Console, QlikView Servers and Performance tab - Please see the below screenshot:
