Dear QV Team -
I'm using QV 12.3 installed in Win 2016 with two node cluster license.
I've a dashboard with two sheets (Sheet1, Sheet2) published in Access Point.
The dashboard is secured with Sheet level section access where domain user1 have sheet1 access and domain user2 has sheet2 access.
When i login to access point with Domain\userid and password at input screen, and select the dashboard, it again prompt's me for user id and password to let me go in.
Why is my section access asking for login twice.
Basic Checks that i have done.
1. Defined section access as below.
Section Access:
Load * INLINE [
ACCESS, USERID, NTNAME
USER, PETER,Domain\PETER
USER, TOM, Domain\TOM
];
Section Application:
LOAD
USERID, SH01, SH02
PETER,0,1
TOM,1,0
;
2. Now, in the document properties, i've enabled
Initial data reduction based on section access.
Appreciate if you can help here.
Rgds,
Sean.
If you apply the USERID and/or PASSWORD within the section access the user will be prompted for it and you don't need them because an authentication through NTNAME is already enough. This means you could remove USERID and link per NTNAME or another field (I have never linked directly to NTNAME else over other fields but it may work, too).

Srinivas, just including a few other links for you that may come in handy and further explain what Marcus covered:

There are a few more links at the bottom of that blog post just FYI, but I think this should cover things in pretty good detail, and just in case, here is the latest Help on Section Access too:
