Access point query

Hi All,

I want to know for the below scenario :

Suppose, I have one user name named as customtest and i have assigned Doc Cal to perticular application to this user name.

So, My query is-

Is it possible to access the access point using the same user name customtest  on different machine at the same time or

if I have logged in one maching using  this name and at the same time i have logged in to different machine then any one of them get logged out?

Regards,

Mahamed

‌it is only possible to use a userid from one machine at a time. If you start a session from a new machine, any existing session will get logged out.

With QlikView Accesspoint if the same AD User logs in again from a different machine then the other session will be kicked out.

Hi Rob,

But, I have tested for Named cal user, it is working fine that means not getting kicked out, i can use same login on different machine at the same time.

I want to know about the doc cal.

Sure, Named cals and Doc cals behave differently.

I thought the other session wasn't kicked out, just disconnected. As soon as you stirr something in the diconnected session, that one will try to reconnect and disconnect the other session. You can simulate this behavior by opening an AP document in both QV Desktop (Open in Server) and in your browser. OR in two different browsers on a single PC.

Yup, "disconnected" would be a better description than "kicked out"
