AccessPoint trouble

I created a report that uses Section Access. It is not based off a username/password - it uses the NTNAME for the user, so the user is not prompted for a password when they open it.

It was published today to the AccessPoint so other users can reach it. However, when you try to open it through the AccessPoint, it is prompting for a user name and password. If you download it, it opens as it should, without any prompting.

The Windows login isn't working for the user name and password - nothing is. As of now, it can't be opened through the AccessPoint at all.

Any ideas why?

Ok, so when you try to open it via Server, it prompts you for credentials, but when you download it and open in QV Standalone it opens up fine?

Sounds to me like you have a blank reduction value for the user in the section access, which lets you open the file alright, if you have an Admin access level in Section Access (which could be why it works in standalone). On the server though, all connections are considered users, and if you're using strict exclusion you won't be allowed in.

Is the user logged in the PC as a local user or domain user?

Domain user.

I can get to the Access Point and see the document without being prompted. It's only when I try to open it that I get the prompt.

If by blank reduction value you mean I left a field blank so I am not filtered on it, yes, that's correct - some users are not filtered, and can see all the data, and the field is blank in the section access document.

Is there a way to leave on strict exclusion and still give these users access to all the data?
