Accessing access point issue

Hi All,

I have installed qlikview server and desktop on test server(Latest version 12).When the same admin user is trying to access from access point user not able to access.I have created customer user as well and the basic settings required to access the application from access point but no success.

Done below settings:

For Custom Directory , changed authentication in Security tab of the QlikView Server config from NTFS to DMS.

Changed the type from ntlm to Custom User and set the login address to Alternate login page.

Can anyone tell me the what I am missing?

Regards,

Mayank

If you used DMS with custom users you will need to create custom users within the custom users directory (it's a sub-item from the directory service within the qmc-tab system. Further you will need to specify the access for each document (in tab documents by authorization) to your users respectively user-groups (if you had some created).

You mean after clicking on the login-button from the access point you get a login-form and after entering the user-credentials you get a message login failed or any other error-message?

I'm not absolutely sure but I believe there are no further settings (like opening any ports or ...) necessary to run such system. Beside ensuring that the user-credentials are valid. Try something simple one as test like user: a and pw: a and considering a possible prefix-setting like custom\a - whereby I didn't need them to authenticate a user on access point or section access. Further you could check if an anonymous access is possible (setting in qmc) to exclude other reasons than invalid or blocked (browser, OS, firewall, any proxy server) user-credentials.

Hi,

I have checked at the below location as well. The details are properly added:

C:\ProgramData\QlikTech\DirectoryServiceConnector\ CustomDataDirectory.xml

Note:My web server i.e IIS is on different machine.

Please let me know if any additional setting required on web server.

Regards,

Mayank

I have no experience with the IIS (since starting we use only the qlik webserver). Therefore I couldn't say if there are any configurations necessary. Maybe pcammaert could help further.
