Accumulation Expressions & Formatting Behavior

I'm running into roadblocks trying to add TEXT to an expression that is set to Full Accumulation.

See below, this is a screen-shot of my attached example. I have two expressions that are displayed as "Text on Axis", one represents the percentage of the current quarter and the other a rolling, or accumated, percentage total. Works great in the first object which is highlighted yellow but when I try and format the expression to add some TEXT it doesn't like it invalidates the expression (red below).

Has anybody run into challenges formatting accumulated expressions into strings? I've tried everything I can think off, any suggestions would be appreciated. I am attaching a sample .qvw that illustrates the challenge.
