Adding a remote image with the URL

Hi, i'm trying to add an image providing it's URL. The ideia is that I have an image of each, lets say vendor and when I select the vendor I want to see his/her profile picture, in the table "vendors" I have a column with the URL of the profile pictures.

The question is: how can I show their pictures? Do I use a Text Box? And if so what do I write there to show me the picture of the selected vendor?

thank you!

Use the url as the expression. Select "image" as the expression representation. You can use a text box or a expression in a straight table.

Hi Rob,

Do you know if you can embed a clickable url to an image expression representation object on a straight table?

Thanks.

I don't know of a way to make the image clickable. What I do is make a small URL column next the image column. The URL column can display  something like "Open" or the unicode =chr(8598)

I don't know of any way to test what the URL returns.

Rob

in a Tex object, insert an image and in the Actions  add Open URL

That will make the image clickable.

Note the question was specifically about a straight table.

Hello,

I created a textbox, typed an URL of an image and showed it as an Image.

Using QlikView Desktop I can see the image but when I publish the QVW and access it from Access Point image isn't shown anymore.

Do you know why it could be?

Thanks,

Ariel
