Adding free text comments to QVD

Hi,

I am new to QV after my training so I would like some advice on how to go about the following process.

My first project is to have a document that opens a downloaded file from a database (excel)

Then has some filtering, ie open cases, so far straight forward.

Adds in old meeting comments via an ID field and then save and send to the indiviuals in the forum for updating new comments during a forum.

Add in new meeting comments after the forum.

Process some charts and send out updated comments.

My question is regarding how to handle adding the old meeting comments per ID before sending out and then adding new comments per ID.

Can QV handle inputing free text directly in then store historically for future use, or is it better to handle meeting comments outside QV by historical saves and use QV to pick out the right data files?

The user will need to interact with loads and wont use any script function, is there any examples best way of this, I am only seeing data loads.
