Allocating contract months to relevant fiscal years

I am trying allocate the contract months to relevant Fiscal years. I have start date of the contract ,end date of the contract, and Total Contract amount. Out of this information i needed to calculate the contract duration in months, which i managed to do. Now i have a problem with allocating those months to correct fiscal years.

E.g. Contract date = 01/11/2014

Contract end date = 31/10/2015

The contract duration is months is 12 months

Now i have fiscal year which starts on the 1st of April. So for fiscal year 2014-2015 i will have the 1st 5 months (Nov,Dec,Jan,Feb,Mar) to pay for. How do i allocate that the 1st 5 months is for 2014-2015 fiscal year and the last 7 months is for 2015-2016 financial year?

The simplest way is to create additional field 'Fiscal Year' in your master calendar
