Has anyone gotten this to work in QlikView 11?
I have some alternate states set up for comparison purposes and was hoping to use a drill-down chart that I'm using elsewhere in the same document.
* I copied the working drill-down chart into two new places and assigned each its own alternate state.
* No, they're new objects, not links!
No mas. When I attempt to make a selection and drill down, it simply doesn't drill down - I get a single bar.
Has anyone else gotten these two to work together, or might this be Yet Another QlikView Bug?
Thanks,
Kent
Hi all,
based on Cesar's answer I build a file using conditional dimensions (with function GetPossibleCount) and a text object with actions (to clear selections).
It's not a solution, but might help some people to build a workaround.

I'm having this same problem. The QlikView documentation on Alternate States makes it sound like they work very similarly to the "Detach" functionality, which specifically disallows drill-down groups, so I'm afraid this is a feature rather than a bug. Its not a very good feature in my opinion...
If anyone figures this out, please let me (us) know!!
Hi, I had the same problem. In my case I used the conditional enabling of the dimensions to simulate the drill down using basicly the GetSelectedCount function. I think this may not be the best solution but this might help you.

I experienced the very same problem here and found this discussion just by "googling".
In a nutshell, as far as I see there is no direct solution to this problem yet, right?
Perhaps we should expect this to be improved in the next version.
Regards,
I'm guessing there's no solution to this yet. Has anyone confirmed it as a Version 11 bug?
I'll attach a sample file to demonstrate what's happening.
Thanks,
Bill
have you heard any more on this? is it a bug? Will it be fixed?

Sorry, no, I haven't heard anything more. Anyone else?
Hi,
Has any one found the solution of this problem because am also stuck at the same problem..
if any body came up with some solutions.. plz share.
Thanks in advance.
Hi Poshkant,
I've marked Cesar's post above as "Helpful" because it does give one method to work around the problem, but to my knowledge the problem hasn't actually been fixed - You'll need the workaround.
