Hi,
A user using the Analytics sw (Qlikview) has stated that all of the tables that have average edit time are showing 0.0.
Is this because the average time the documents have been opened is less than 0.1 hours or because the average edit time is not being captured?
If the time is less than 0.1 hours, can the resolution on this number be increased?
Also we wanted to know if the Edit Time is correct to be zero in all of the tables from the Analytics URL? We are focusing on all the tables not just one or a couple of these.
The main thing to know is if these times are being captured correctly?
Is there something we can look at to see what the actual edit time is that perhaps isn't rounded just to confirm?
Could you please give me some guidance on this? Is this a normal behavior?
Thanks,
Vijaya
Hi,
Can any one provide me some suggestion on this?
Thanks,
Vijaya
Vijaya,
If you mean the object calculation times in Document Properties --> Sheets, then these are not updated until the document is actually accessed. When they report 0 that just means that the document has not cached during that session yet. You can probably write a macro that would iterate through all the sheets and all the objects (activating each). You can then output the results and read the max(time) per object back into QV.

Hello Vlad,
Thanks for your response. Here is what i am trying to find out:
I am talking about the Average Edit time in following reports and tables they are having.
1. The Active Workflow Report has only one table "Workflow Tasks" where Edit Time (hrs) means, the number of hours that have been spent editing the Document in all Workflow States.
2. The Workflow Analysis Report has only one table "Documents" where Edit Time (hrs) means, the number of hours devoted to editing the Document in all Workflow States.
3. The "Creators" table lists users who created Document versions, and shows productivity details about that users. Here the Avg Edit Time (hrs) means, the average number of hours that the Creator spent editing each Document.
4. The "Contributors" table lists users who contributed to Documents in the Authoring Workflow. Here Avg Edit Time (hrs) means, The average number of hours the user spent editing a Document. Draft The number of Documents contributed to by this user that are still draft. Deleted draft Documents are not counted.
Customer stated that she wanted to know if the Edit Time is correct to be zero in all of the tables from the Analytics URL?
Are these times are being captured correctly in these tables when user view, contribute the document?
Also is there something we can look at to see what the actual edit time is that perhaps isn't rounded just to confirm?
Customer noticed that All of the tables that have average edit time are showing 0.0. Is this because the average time the documents have been opened is less than 0.1 hours or because the average edit time is not being captured? If the time is less than 0.1 hours, can the resolution on this number be increased?
Any Suggestions on this,
How can anyone know the answer as to whether your data is correct or not? Maybe if you post your expressions then some problems might jump out at us...
But if you're seeing problems with the data only in the AccessPoint, make sure you're not reducing your numbers out with Section Access.

Hello Vlad,
I received following update on this issue:
------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are documents that have been accessed but they are still showing edit time = 0.0. I have attached an output from QlikView, Workflow Analysis tab, Documents table. The documents that are displayed in the attachment (the lines that aren't hidden) are ones that have been recently published therefore I know they have been accessed recently. All of them show edit time = 0.0. It seems odd to me if the data is true."

Hello,
Can i have some suggestion on this?
Please check the data provided in my previous note and suggest me something.
Thanks,
Vijaya
I really don't know what to tell you if you can't post your expressions or a sample of your application...there's not much I can tell you from the data itself.
