Hi,
I have a requirement wherein users want to add notes to objects on the dashboard and we need to capture the notes and the Dimension selected in the List box; and then display the Notes in another Text Object in the Dashboard as "User Commentary".
We need to store the Notes as well so that we have a trend of the history.
Please suggest if any solution.
Thank you.
Annotations by themselves already offer features to document, add selection screenshorts and share with others.
Both Notes and Bookmarks are stored in the Shared file. Using a power tool you can convert the contents of the shared file into xml, and read that info back into your document at regular times.
But I'm sure this will involve a lot coding to get it to work to your taste.
Can't you just go for annotations and bookmarks, whereby you list the bookmark name in the annotation? And then share both?
Peter
Hi Prachi,
To create annotation, we need do the following:
1. enable session collaboration from QMC
2. enable server objects from qlikview document
3. In ajax foot print client, when we open the document, we can right click any object , we should select notes ->"add a new note" from drop down. We can attach snapshot to that note.
Best regards,
Kaveri
