In the Expression tab of chart properties, click on the + button next to your expression, in the list underneath the expression you will see Bar Offset, that's where you need to create your expression for the offset of where the particular bar should start.

Hi,

Please let me know any specific settings are required to create a waterfall chart (Bar Chart). I am able to get a normal Bar Chart but not able to create a Water fall.

For example I have table which contains columns like

"Amoun"t for Total Revenue,

"CRAmount" for Cost of Revenue

"OP Amount" for Operating expenses

In the expressions of the chart I am writing as

Sum (Amount) depicting the Total Revenue

Sum(CRAmount) for depicting Cost of Revenue

Sum(OPAmount) for operating Expenses.....

Please let me know is there any change in the expression required to get a waterfall chart

Thanks and Regards,

Raghav

No

There is no change in the expression itself, but you need to add an expression to the BAR OFFSET as I have said above!

I have no idea how your waterfall should be presented, so I cannot give you the expressions you should use, but you need to create the offset which represents the starting point of the bar for that expression. I'm not sure how many more words I can use to describe it.

Hi,

once you create your bar chart, click on the expression tab, you can notice + sign on the bar.... click on that. once the link is expanded, you will notice "Bar Offset".

you can define the expression from where you want to start the bar.

Raghav
