Hi all,

Can't we apply a qlikview license using only the lef file?

I've received the LEF file and paste it but qlik keeps demanding the serial and control numbers !

what should I do since I don't have the control number?

Q1: No. A LEF is not enough to license and activate a QlikView Server installation. You need the Serial and Control No to license over the internet, or a Serial and Control No in addition to a LEF to license without internet access.

Otherwise people would start distributing LEF files without paying any fees.

Q2: If you forgot or lost your control number, contact your Qlik Partner or Qlik Account Mgr who will get in touch with the financial/licensing dept of Qlik to recover your control number.
