Hi Forums/Friends,
For my knowledge purpose I want to know which object is heavier. Text Object or Chart Object?
It is some what bit urgent.

Hi, SD.
Can you rephrase your question, please ? As 'heavier' suggests that they have a weight.
Do you mean which object uses the most processing power ? In which case, are you using the same calculations in both ? We may need more detail to answer this.
Regards,
Neil
If I put a simple static text in a Text Object, and a complex expression over lots of dimension values in a straight table, the chart will be "heavier".
If I put a simple count expression over a few rows in a straight table (chart), and a complex expression with nested aggregations over a large amount of data in a text box, the text box will be slow and "heavy".
There is no fits-all-situations answer to your question. It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish, and how.
Best,
Peter
In conclusion, if you use the same expression in the textobject as in your table, your table would be .. let's say "heavier".
if you just want to visualize one number, 4ex.. the over all sales value, use the textbox, if you want to visualize the over all sales value per year use the chart instead of x single textobjects.
Hi Neil,
It is general Question/Query I had raised. I am not sure whether I had putted the question/query properly or not.
But it is my request to u. If u can explain me by assuming some senerio based of memory/time consumption.
Then which will be the better whether Text box object or Chart Object.
Adv Thanks
