Autonumber(company&'#' &department) as link

WHat does autonumber do in the above expression

It will create a unique number for each unique instance of company&'#'&department. For instance if you have a table like this:

company	department	AutoNumber(company&'#'&department)
A	Finance	1
A	Marketing	2
A	Operations	3
B	Finance	4
B	Marketing	5
B	Sales	6
A	Operations	3
C	Finance	7
B	Sales	6

alternatives could be:

AutonumberHash128(company, department) as link

or

AutonumberHash256(company, department) as link
