I am having an issue when joing 2 tables together. There is one field that has 2 types of info, "haspaid" and "nopaid' in table 2. The problem is when there is a record in table one that does not link to table 2 and therfore it shows up as a '"-" in qlikview for that field and I cannot filter on "-" so I can't get the info I need. How can I make qlikview put something in that field so I can search on it. See attached file. You will see how the filter is greyed out, but the table has a "-" in the PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains.
You need to join somehow the 2 tables (according key fields), after you have done that you can read again the table and add an extra column in this way:

if(isnull(PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains) or trim(PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains)='', 'No Value', PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains) as PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains
...
resident
....
now you can test on the field PaymentStatusNameGreatPlains the value 'No Value
