Bookmarks don't work in Access Point after a new release of the file .qvw

Hi all,

I am a developer and I have users that often create and use bookmarks through the Access Point.

I have a problem: every time that I release a new version of the file .qvw the bookmarks that users had created don't work.

I have seen that others have had this same problem, but I didn't understood what is the solution.

Can someone help me?

Thank all,

Cristina.

Hi,

Your Bookmarks are stored in .Shared file.

Every time you release new version. make sure to rename .shared file to your current version.

Have a look at below post.

Hi.

Assuming that the names of .qvw are the same, what do you exactly mean by 'don't work' ?

The Bookmark contains field names and their states. If you publish new .qvw with the set of fields that differs from the previous one, the bookmark will be applied only to the common fields. All inconsistences are just ignored.

Sometimes bookmarks starts to behave strangely. So you can try (re)move .shared file end check if the problem is solved. In that case all user bookmarks will be lost.
