Hi,
We have a "problem" with Internet Explorer, and that is - it seems as if IE has build in timeout of 1 minute.
Since a computation on server lasts more than 1 minute, the IE breaks connection to server, and the results are not delieverd to an end-user.
We tested this with other browsers as well - and the results ARE being delivered.
Since IE is a default browser in our company, we are trying to find a way how to increase a timeout in IE.
In "Internet Options" we haven't find this setting. Furthermore, we have also found similar settings on Server (QV). After changing this parameters, we have established that they do not change the timeout.
Did anyone previously have this problem? Can you please help me resolve it?
UPDATE: ok - it seems we have the same problem with Google Chrome. - so I changed the title.
Thanks!
D.
Hi,
4) its your QlikView document. Open your QlikView document in QlikView desktop and follow above steps.
5) Try this C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\QlikTech\WebServer\config.xml

ASHFAQ
4) it had no effect - behaviour stayed as it was
5) I can get to "Qlik Tech" folder. and than inside that folder I do not see "WebServer" folder. Moreover of the available folder there is no "config.xml" file.
Do you maybe have some other suggestion?
Regards,
D.
Not sure what you think.
We are using Active directory groups for access.
There are no clusters in our architecture (one dev and one prod server)
Any other suggestion?
Hi,
You are on qlikview server right?
Can you post snapshot of QlikTech folder.

This message can happen when QV thinks that two users are using the same login. That's why I was asking for the cluster.
Have you this message only in prod or on both environments?
Yes - I am getting the same message on prod server as well as on dev server.
I doubt it is login issue, because we are well aware that the processing we are testing is demanding - so it has to last more than 1 minute.
No idea what to try next...
Yes - i am on QV server.
Not sure what to post, because we have circa 20 different users. Every user has QlikTech folder. In this folder there are 2 folders: "QlikView" and "QlikViewBatch". Inside both of them there are no any important files or the subfolders are completely empty.
Additionaly, I have checked QlikTech folder for my user as well as for QV Admin and QV service Users - same story...
Stupid question, but your dev server and your prod server are using different licence keys?
of course
we already have circa 30 QV applications.
This message apprars to my knowledge only when we set certain selection criteria in one application.
Ah ok, it's only in one application?
We have the same kind of troubles with some cross tables when they becomes empty. If it's possible try to eliminate some objects on your page to identify the guilty one. We have also experimented some bugs like this with listboxes which were referencing deleted fields.
After QV becomes crasy with the application we have to clean the IE cache and to remove the last document state.
