Hi,
I have just read up on bundling images and such. I've never done it before.
I have a small Excel file with two fields:
- Fieldname
- Link (like >> C:\Users\...jpg)
So far, that worked fine.
Now I want to use that bundled picture as a background_picture in a chart. So I have
- created a new free_text_object (on the "presentation" tab)
- on the tab "pictures", selected that
=> In the edit_field, I got that qmem syntax all right
<=> The image doesn't appear, only that text.
What else must I do to get that picture?
Thanks a lot!
Best regards,
DataNibbler
Are you referring to the text in Chart option in the presentation tab? It does not have that option, maybe you can just place a normal text object with the picture on top of the chart.
Hi,
By default data representation type is text. change it to image then it will works fine.
Thanks
I know that setting with textboxes and such - but I want to add this as a free_text_box inside a graph. Where is it there?
In the colors tab you can choose a background image
Hi Piet,
yes, I know that, but that's not what I want - I don't want to set this as a background_image, but only a small image in a box in the upper right corner of the charting_area - a free_text_box or whatever you may call it.

Thanks Piet!
So that isn't possible. OK, so I don't have to worry.
I have done that with the textbox - but for that I do not necessarily have to bundle the images at all?
Have a nice weekend!
You're welcome and yes it is then not necessary to bundle load these unless offcourse you want a variable picture in an expression.
Nice weekend!
