Button will not become invisible

I want to make a few buttons invisible.  However, I have a sheet in which the buttons refuse to become invisible.  I can go into their properties and set Layout/Show/Conditional to 1=2 and the buttons are still visible.  If I create a new sheet, create a new button, and make the Conditional statement 1=2, then the button is invisible.  If I copy this button to the sheet where it is needed than it is visible.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

Hi,

at settings and properties of the document you can choose at security, that all objects are visible, demark this and the objects will disappear
