Calculated Text Colour in A Custom Format Not Working

Here is my issue. I have a Straight Table where want to change the text color using a calculated color. My chart has no dimensions so it is just the labels that need to change color. The font color for a straight table is set by style so I have to use a custom format.

I right click and select 'Custom Format Cell' on my label.

I select Text Color.

I select Calculated.

I add my formula.

The color returns the correct font color and that color is applied. The formula however is not saved. When the chart changes and the color of the text should change it does not. When I go back into the Calculated field the expression has not been saved.

Is this a known issue. Is there a work around? Is there another way to do what I am attempting?

Thanks in advance.

Which version of QV are you using? Do you have a sample you can share where we can see the issue?

I am using 11.0.11440 SR2

I have attached a file. I have formatted the test of the expression to change when you toggle the value of the variable between 1 and 0.

I also used the same expression for the colour on the text color within the custom format cell but as you can see it does not persist the formula.

When I open the file it works perfectly. When I select Custom Format Cell I can see your formula in the Expression.

When I select Text Color I can see the expression:

If I hit Ok the Formula is removed.

If I hit Cancel the formula remains. Am I missing something?

May be you are using a very old version of QlikView which isn't allowing you to do that. QV11.2 SR2 is pretty old. Have you considered may be updating to a more recent versions?

I am not sure what the issue? Have you tried changing the variable and the colors are not changing?
