Calendar object is not working for Alternate State?

Hi Community,

May I know why the calendar object is not working properly for alternate state?

Alternate state is working for list box selection as well as the chart.

But when i try to select 2 different period (Analysis and Comparator), it will follow the latest date selection only...

Attached herewith the .qvw file for troubleshooting reference.

In your Calendar Objects, Presentation tab, for Data try selecting Field ShortCreatedDate instead of a variable.

Thanks for fast response!
I tried to go to General tab -> Data -> field -> ShortCreatedDate, it is not working because there is no start and end date for ShortCreatedDate.

Hi Bill,

yupe, firstly i am unable to select a Start analysis date and end analysis date separately.

I could drag the date range like this, but there might be more than 1000 days. It is a good idea to drag date like this.

A new problem raised is if i selected a date range, calendar object will show something meaningless like "---"

It´s not a problem of calendar.

You´re using variables.

Variables are not 'copied' to Alternate States.

They´re always related to Default State

Just what Clever said. If you have differente states, you need same variables for these states.

Example:

Sheet1 = firstAlternateState

Then you need vStartDateFirstAlternateState and vEndDateFirstAlternateState

Sheet2 = SecondAlternateState

Then you need vStartDateSeondAlternateState and vEndDateSecondAlternateState

And so forth.
