Can Qlikview Publisher exist without Server installation?

I know Publisher is an "add on" so my question may sound naïve but this is for a double check. Basically what I am trying to explore are different ways we can reduce the cost of infrastructure. I read that we can install Server and Publisher on two different servers but is it possible to install Publisher alone?

don't know but if you want to reduce maybe you can use a different scheduler (windows task manager) to run the reload in qlik desktop

I 'think' Yes, as you could have a Publisher installed at local sites and store resulting QVWs upto a head office -as an example.

Publisher is part of the standard QlikView Server install package, and you can select just the Distribution server, which becomes publisher when you add a licence.

Would be good to see if anyone has installed this setup recently and can comment further.

why do not you ask your Qlik rep? they are always happy to help.

QV server license and Publisher license are two different ones and I think you can install QMC and just Publisher but I do not think they package and sell it this way.
