Can an Excel Macro be run over the web in a QlikView script?

We have an excel Macro running inside a Qlikview script and it runs fine in the Qlikview desktop tool. When we run the QlikView file in web mode or in a browser the button in the UI seems to be disabled.

The question is can an Excel Macro be run in a browser.

Macros can be executed but they will be some limitations
