Can't Access QlikView Management Console for Local Machine

Qlik Community,

I can't connect to the QlikView Management Console from my local machine.  I can connect with no problems when I'm on the server it is installed on.  I can connect to the Access Point from my local machine.

Additional Info:

  • We are running QlikView Webserver not IIS
  • My account is in the QlikAdmin NT group
  • I'm using the IP address (http://192.##.##.##:4780) and not the servername
  • Chrome error is: ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT
  • Internet Explorer error is: This page can’t be displayed and when we run diagnostics is says server is online but not responding to connection attempts

Thanks.

Hi Craig,

Sounds like this might be a firewall problem either on the server itself blocking traffic on port 4780, or maybe something on the network/your PC blocking the port?

Also just to confirm your trying the url 'http://192.###.###.###:4780/qmc' ?

Thanks,
Peter.

Thanks for the quick reply.  Yes, I'm trying to connect to http://192.###.###.###:4780/qmc/default.htm

I turned off my Firewall on my PC and tried it again, but no luck.  I'll take a look at the server firewall see what happens.

Peter,

It was the server firewall.  It was blocking incoming connections.  Thanks for your help.
