I have inherited someone else's Qlikview document, and I need to make modifications to this.
One of the problems I've come across is trying to add an extra sheet. When I try to go to 'Layout'--->'Add Sheet' the option is greyed out.
When I create a new document I have the ability to add sheets as the option isn't greyed out.
Any reasonable ideas as to why this is happening, I'll be welcome to hear from you.
Make sure to open the document directly in the QV Desktop client, not in the ajax client or with the Open in Server option. Also if you're asked for a login/password make sure you use the credentials of a user with ADMIN priviliges. There could be security restrictions set in the document properties that restrict regular users from adding sheets.
Thanks for your speedy reply.
I believe I am opening it in QV desktop Client. I've opened several QV documents with the same version but it only seems to be this document that I am having a problem adding a sheet to. The document doesn't have a log-in prompt, and I believe I am the only user with a developer licence.
Where would I check for security restrictions? Is this something I would check on the server within the QV management console?
I've checked for a hidden script (thinking this might have been a reason for my restrictions) and there isn't one to edit, so I don't think it's this either.
Any answers or further suggestions are more than welcome for me to try out.
setting > document properties > security > add sheets (check) > ok
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner Natth, but unfortunately the 'add sheets' option was already ticked. So it's not this that is stopping me from adding a sheet.
Any ideas people???
