I go to add a folder location, but as soon as I click on apply it dissapears? I've tried using the UNC path and definately have permissions, any ideas why else this might occur?
Which version are you using?
Best regards
Stefan
8.50.6310.5. For the time being upgrading is not a plausible solution though.
And actually, the same thing happens if I go to edit or remove any existing connections, as soon as I click apply it switches back to how it was before I made the changes? Does Qlikview store this info in a file that I could manually edit somewhere?
Hi there,
I don't presently have an 8.5 server to try this on, but I know that on version 9 there are places where if you don't hit return after entering your changes they are sometimes lost when you click apply. This may be worth a try?
Cheers,
Steve
Thanks Steve, but actually in this case return doesn't actually do anything, even confirm, you have to click on the ok button to continue. I find it especially strange because I have the same problem on three separate installs, and as I say it is for editing the folders in any way, I can't even successfully remove a mounted folder? I tried stoping the server and adding it, and in this case after I click apply the folder stays there, but then when I start the server again it is gone.
Is the folder you want to add a network share? You might have problems with THAT.

Joachim
No, just a local folder. I seem to recall we had this problem in the past and it was some small Qlikview idiosyncracy causing the issue, is there anything at all, even supposedly unrelated, that should cause the 'apply' button to revert to a previous configuration rather than the one you have entered?
We couldn't find another way to fix it other than editing the registry. Not optimal.
What did the support say to this problem ?
Rgds,
Joachim
