Can't create variables and use tools for aligment when using server installation

Hello,

One of my customers have a QlikView server installation and they are not able to create their own variables and they are not able to use the Tools for aligment. Does anyone know if there is a restriction in the server product?

They have a Qlik Server Installation and when they use the client they can't use Tools to align.
