Can't open Document, Unexpected (Too Old?) File format

Hi I am getting the below message when trying to open a Document

The document was created with v11.0

I am now using version 11.2, any ideas on how to fix this please

I had another copy of the same version in another folder and it opened fine.

I was lucky to have another copy otherwise it would be lost

Thanks, I didn't know if there was a quick fix.  I'll restore it back to this morning.

That's a strange bug.

I'm having the same issue. Every file I create in Qlikview I can never reopen as I get the same error. Even when I try to open it the next day. Any suggestions here?

This is caused by the QV installer package is corrupted, please try to download again and check if there any difference with the size. Good luck!

Hi,

I opened a case in Qliktech and told me that Corruption can be caused by a lot of different issues. It can be caused by other software programs touching the file like antivirus. It can also be caused by network issues. It could be caused by a failed saved QVW. So We always have to make a backup in case of corruption.

I think that we should has always the last Release of QVS and QV Desktop.

Make the exceptions in our antivirus over the \program data\qliktech and all subfolders, Root folder, logs folder and all qvw folders.
