Hi all!
I can't open qvw files generated on my machine. If I create a new QlikView document, load some data, place some objects, and then close and reopen the qvw file, I get something like "Access denied. File was created by an user with QlikView license, and as long as you're using a QlikView Personal Edition, you won't be able to open this file". I have no QlikView licenses. Have tried QlikView v11.00.11271.0 SR1 64-bit Edition on my desktop machine (running a 64-bit Windows 7) and 32-bit Edition on my netbook (running Windows XP). Fresh install on both cases (no older/same version installed before). Note I'm trying to reopen the file on the same machine. Any workaround?
Thanks in advance.
yes, then it is a BUG what i thought was in personal edition you can't share your application but yes you can open that application N times
...
Happy Qliking then
Hi,
I also faced same problem and it was resolved by two ways

Abhi
What if there is no prj folder (it was deleted already to gain access once) I am working on 4 different projects and every time I switch from one to another it eats another "recovery" so now I am locked out AGAIN and i need the script source from one file to place into another file...
The downfall is I am trying to present this as a corporate dashboard solution on Monday and at this rate it is going to look like crap
Thoughts?
Hi Everyone,
I have a QV personal edition 2017 SR1 12.20.20200.0 on a VM. I have created 8 files on the VM and am unable to open them now. I get this message "Access denied. File was created by an user with QlikView license, and as long as
you're using a QlikView Personal Edition, you won't be able to open this file".
I read through this post but unfortunately, I do not have any -prj directory for these QVWs. Recently, I have restarted the AWS VM. Could that be a problem ? A change in the IP of the VM. If so, how can I fix it.
Please advise.
