Can use QV 12 desktop at QV 11.2 server environment

Hi All,

Can use QV 12 desktop at QV 11 server environment?

Actually there is a dev/test server where we do development and it has been installed by QV 12 desktop and we got the license lease from prod server where installed QV 11.2 server.

Just thinking as issues may come in future?

We also have productive and development environments in QV 11.2.

Sometimes we try or modify some document in our PCs in QV 12 and never had problems when reopening a QV 12 document in QV 11.2 server.

We are planning for the next month a comprehensive trial of our applications in QV 12, to migrate as soon as possible.

We have automated all the authorizations and cals through the QMC APIs and we must prove it very well, to make sure everything works correctly in version 12.

As for the documents recorded in QV 12, we had no problems opening them in QV 11.2 Server.

It should work normally, we have used qv12 desktop to develop apps for a qv11 client

It should work except few function like sort-able  aggregation works only Qv12+ version , performance improved in QV12 etc,

The sortable Aggr function is finally here!

i would suggest you to upgrade the Qv latest patch Nov'17
