Hi,

What are you trying to load balance?

If you have a cluster of QlikView Servers, then the accesspoint will load balance between the nodes automatically as long as you have your cluster set up properly.

If you have several accesspoints and want to load balance access between these you need a hardware/software load balancer in front that directs access to the appropriate web server. For this you'll likely want some sys admin help.

Well, imagine that you have two or more QlikView Servers in a cluster and you have a machine running an Access Point on a webserver. If the machine with the web server goes down, users will not be able to access the Access Point.

If there are two separate machines running a webserver each with an accesspoint  pointing to the QlikView Server cluster, then you could have another access point to fall back on in case one is down for whatever reason.

Thanks for you Reply.

Can we make it different URL for access point on different machine.

is it two different qlikview server installation and same qlikview application needs to put at both server?

then set it on cluster or something else??

Thanks

If you have two accesspoints, then yes, they will have two different URLs.

You can set a network load balancer in front that has one url, for example qlik.company.com. Then this device will load balance to the two access points.

For a QlikView server cluster, they need to share the same root document folder so you just need to put one copy of the application there and then all nodes will be able to access it.

Hi

When you say " if you have your cluster set up  properly" you mean having a two QVS cluster and one QVWS you have to configure in the QVWS-> Server Connections-> Load Balancing= Cpu with RAM Overload, It is just this? or is there anything else to setup?
