Hiya all
Trying to connect a new server with a temp license provided by Qlikview server and keep getting a message when applied
Failed to set License - Failed to connect to Server
Is this due to a firewall issue, if so my IT team are asking where is this trying to connect so they can add exception to firewall

I reinstalled Qlikview And set a User account in set-up and this worked fine.
This error could be that there is a connection issue trying to connect with the lef server, where the license gets validated.
Does the server have internet access? WIthout it the license can not be validated automatically.
A simple way around this would be to paste in the lef information into the "paste the contents of the LEF here" field. Then internet is not needed.
Do you have your LEF information (text file which defines the capabilities of the license)? If not you could contact Qlik Qoncierge Service who can help you.
