Cannot limit maximum visible number in pivot table

Hello All,

Am having an issue to limit the maximum number of dates in a pivot table to 12. When I check the propoerties of a combo chart I can see the checkbox to change the maximum visible number but when I want to check the same option in a pivot table, I dont have the option at all.

Can you please help me how to limit the maximum visible number in a pivot table and to reverse the values as well.

I have attached 3 screenshots. One for the properties of the combo chart. 2nd for the properties of the pivot table and the 3rd screenshot is that of my pivot table.

I want qlikview to represent the data as follows:

2012-45, 2012-46, etc... but in my pivot table am getting all the values in my dimension.

Thx

Hi,

I'm not sure to well understand your problem.

Could you please attach an axample of your qvw?

How many dimensions do you have?

Which dimension do you want to limit ?

That's right. The pivot table has no options at all to limit the number of values displayed. You can use the width of the chart to limit what's directly visible. You should be able to reverse the order on the Sort tab. And you can use a listbox to select a range of values to show. If you don't want that selection to influence other charts you can use alternate states if you're using QV11. You could also try using a calculated dimension that only returns the values you want to show and enable the Suppress When Value is Null option for that calculated dimension.

Hi,

I have managed to create a filter which returns me the values of my last 12 weeks as shown in table 1. But the problem is that for Moldova the values of IC and PSR should be 0( as the values are 0 but i get a dash) and the values for Reunion should be a dash as the values are really null.

Now if I go to the 'Presentation tab' and uncheck the 'suppress zero-values' for that dimension, the pivot table returns me 0 for IC and PSR for Moldova and null for Reunion, which should be the case. BUT my dimension is no more limited to 12 weeks as you can see in table 2.

Can I have the pivot table return me 0 for IC and PSR for Moldova and null for Reunion, which should be the case and display me my 12 last weeks also?

I don't know why it is not taking my filter that returns me 12 last weeks into consideration when I uncheck the option 'suppress zero-values'.

Can you please help?

Thx
