Hi all,
Maybe the question that I am going to formulate is very easy, but I cannot find an answer. So you would you please help me?
I have realized that since a few days ago, all files that I add to my folder structure in qlikview, and made accessible, are visible in AccessPoint without any filter in the dropdowns or searching by its name, but when I filter them using the Category Dropdown, they don't appear.
Does anyone know what might be the problem?
Thanks
Julian
Have you defined Categories for your documents in the QV Management Console? This sounds strange since, the documents should be assigned a category called "Default" if you haven't been defined it a category.
Karl
Hi Karl,
Yes I have defined categories, each category correspond with a folder. So, each category shows the content of the folder, but for some reason since a few days, it does not add the new files that I place into those folders. It's strange because, even when I create a new folder, this is added to my category list...
Do you know why this might be?
Thanks
Julian
Hi Julian,
Obvious question I know, but, have the documents definitely got users authorized to view them?
Have you tried a full services restart?
flipside
Hi Flipside,
Yes, the documents are authorized. I have not tried the full services restart, but I will give it a try after work...
Thanks
Julian
Hi Flipside,
Also, after restarting, it still does not work properly.
Regards
Julian
If you look at the .meta file for each of the documents on your server in (eg) Notepad, you might be able to see the Category in clear text. When re-assigning the document to a new category, I can see these files changing when I hit Apply in QEMC. Perhaps these files have become corrupted and are not overwriting for some reason.
You can also view the Category.xml in Notepad to check the Categories are writing/amending in there, which it sounds like they are. This file is at ProgramData\QlikTech\ManagementService\QVPR. Don't amend this file - take a copy first and look only at the copy!
