If your are using a bar chart with 2 dimensions, you can set the default (rgb) colors in the Properties -> Colors ->Colors 1-6.

Set Persistent colors.

Hi Anjana,

For charts/Tables:

1. Right click on your object, click on Properties--Expressions tab/Dimensions tab wherever you want to change the color

2. Click on the + icon infront of the column name.

3. There you will find options as Backround color, Text color etc.

4. You can change the backgrund or text color by wither directly writing the colourname like blue(), yellow() etc. or you can use RGB function which takes 3 paramenters, here you can give any customized color that you want. For Ex:

RGB(255,124,145) etc.

Hope this helps!

I think QlikView automatically taking color Blue and red(As present in tab colors under properties of chart) . I need to choose my own colors instead of blue and Red. How can I do the required changes. I already have expression in the charts for these two columns, Please also suggest how to add colors by expressions. Where should I add Green in my expressions.

Hi Anjana,

As suggested above in the expression tab click on the ''+" icon beside expression where you will see background color option. By going inside that in definition window you can define color like rgb(0,255,0). You can define whatever color you want as per your requirement

Not sure if I understand you correctly, but if you want to change the background color of these columns/expressions to green then:

1. On Expressions tab, click on + sign in front of these Column names.

2. Double click on background colour.

3. Then in the edit Expression window that opens, write Green().

This will change the background color of the columns.
